Up in Northeast Ohio, our winter started back in November. It's been one of those winters. The snow has not stopped. I'll admit it. I'm tired of snow. I
may have complained recently about how much I hate living in a perpetual snow globe. When I say that I
may have complained, what I mean is that I
totally complained.
A lot. So, when I heard about another storm hitting our area that was going to be a "dangerous" & "destructive" storm, I morphed into Charlie Brown. "Everything seems hopeless... I'm completely depressed." Haha! Actually, I'm really not that dramatic, although it would be wildly amusing to see Lucy out on the corner with her advice stand. Honestly though, I am a few shades of grumpy today. To steal a page from
Babbling Abby, I am also about 12 kinds of sick.
Now, to elaborate a bit on the weather. I woke up to an ice-skating rink. No joke. It's probably the worst ice-storm that we've had in a long time... perhaps ever. I went outside with my fur babies, Loralei and K-Fed, and you could tell that they hated every single minute spent crunching through the snow, if you can even legitimately call it snow at this point. It's basically ice too. You have got to see this! Even better... it's only round one! I guess the good news is that we have a snow...er... ice day. The bad news? I somehow need to be able to make it to grad school tonight. I hope my car door opens and that I can remove the 18 layers of ice after round two hits this afternoon! Take a looksie!

| The road. We live in a smallish city. Usually the roads are decent. |

| Our pretty tree. It's always good to end with a positive. |
Ewww - I am in southwest Ohio and my car looks the same way right now. When I went out with my dogs this morning we realized that the snow on the ground is covered in a layer of ice too - along with the sidewalk and everything else. I am so done with winter this year - is it spring yet?
ReplyDeleteGood luck getting to class tonight!
Nice pics! I'm definitely getting my camera out later to do the same. I live in Central Indiana and we got hit bad. So bad that we have a 'Snow Day' today due to the ice. And we know its bad because my school district NEVER closes school. Seriously... NEVER! I'll be interested to see if we have another day off tomorrow because this stuff isn't done..
